Hi! My name is Alexis Pawoll, and I am the Programs Vice President of Alpha Xi Delta. As Programs Vice President, I coordinate chapter programs that motivate and enlighten the chapter on a variety of topics. The goal is always to help them realize their potential!
I am a junior double majoring in English Secondary Education and Spanish Secondary Education. I graduated from Tekamah-Herman High School, and my home is an acreage outside of Herman (LOVE the country life).
When thinking of Alpha Xi Delta, this well-known quote came to mind: “It’s not something you become; it’s something you’ve always been.” When I first heard that regarding sorority life, I didn’t understand it at all. Now it makes perfect sense. My Alpha Xi Delta sisters love me for who I am; I’ve never had to change or be anyone but myself. So in that sense, I’ve always been an Alpha Xi because I have always just been me. I care about the values and ideals that we uphold, and because of the wonderful women I am surrounded by, I continually strive to be the best person I can be. Whether I’m proofreading someone’s paper or proving that I know all the words to a rap song from the early 2000’s, I know all my sisters appreciate me for who I am. Not much is cooler than having over 100 sisters who are constantly supporting you!
